Silencers, SBRs and SBSs on a 4473
No Form 4, no stamp, no prints. As of October 9, 2026, a silencer, SBR or SBS goes out on a 4473 and a background check, and most folks take it home the same day. From our case, a special order, our Silencer Shop page, or one you bought somewhere else.

More AR parts and accessories than anyone in town, and we mount them. Optic and light installs, muzzle devices, builds, repairs, cleaning. Bring it to the counter.
No. As of October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, a tax stamp, or registration for silencers, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, or AOWs. You fill out a 4473 and pass the background check, and most folks take it home the same day. That goes for a can in our case, a special order, a Silencer Shop order, or one you bought somewhere else.
