Privacy

The short version

This site has no accounts, no checkout and no shopping cart. We collect what you type into a form, plus ordinary anonymous traffic statistics. We do not sell your information, and we do not run advertising on this site.

What you send us

Our contact, wishlist, transfer and consignment forms ask for your name, a phone number and an email address, along with whatever you write in the message. The consignment form also lets you attach photographs of the item you want us to look at. You choose what to put in; none of it is taken automatically.

We use it to answer you. A wishlist entry is kept so we can call you if the item turns up; a consignment enquiry is kept while we work out what your item is worth. Form submissions are delivered to our own Fun Guns mailboxes and stay in our email the way any customer message does.

Please do not send us your Social Security number, your driver license number, or a firearm serial number through a web form. We do not need any of it to answer you, and the paperwork that does need it is done in person at the counter.

What is collected automatically

• Google Analytics 4. Tells us which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from. It sets cookies and uses your IP address to estimate a general location. We do not use it to identify you, and we have not enabled Google advertising features on it.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics. Counts page views. It sets no cookies and does not fingerprint or track you between sites.
• Ordinary server logs. Cloudflare, which serves this site, records requests the way any web host does.

Who else touches it

Google provides the analytics described above. Cloudflare hosts the site and provides its analytics. Resend delivers form submissions to our email. Each of them handles the data only to provide that service. We do not sell your information, we do not trade it, and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

We will disclose information if the law requires it. Separately, and unrelated to this site, federal law requires us to keep firearm transaction records and make them available to the ATF. Those records come from the paperwork you complete in the store, never from this website.

Cookies, and turning them off

The only cookies this site sets are the Google Analytics ones. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on, and the site will work exactly the same. We do not show a cookie banner, because analytics is all there is to consent to and turning it off does not change anything you can see.

Children

This site is meant for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

Asking us to delete something

Email [email protected] or call (254) 755-0080 and ask. We will delete what you sent us unless we are required to keep it. You do not have to explain why, and asking will not change how we treat you at the counter.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the effective date at the top moves. It is dated so you can tell whether you are reading something current.
